Good point, he's to blame too.
I read an interview with Jon Stewart the other day that I thought had the best take on why Obama is so ineffective as a leader and as a politician.
Aside from the fact that he never went out there and sold Obamacare (after launch) to the public but really only to friendly crowds, or the few accomplishments he has made, he just seemed completely uninterested in, well, politics.
Stewart's take was that Obama didn't realize what he was getting himself into with this gig. He thought that he'd come in with big ideas and of course Dems would support them and the GOP would at least embrace some because they, like he, want to solve problems. What he didn't realize is how insane/idiotic they are and how idiotic yes, most Dems are too so he quickly grew to hate them, all of them. The bozos he's surrounded by. So he's basically isolated himself which makes him easy prey for the GOP spin and alienates him from his own party (obviously, to the point where they're running away from him during the mid-terms).
That actually explains his strange demeanor of the past couple of years.
