So provide me with some evidence that actually proves your assertion. How much uranium did they divert to a weapons program? How many weapons casings do they possess? What prevented them from completing the weapons program, given that they've been "three months away" from a weapon for almost three decades?

As for dictating energy policy, the proof is in the pudding. Do the sanctions exist or not? Obviously they do, and so your argument is about as irrelevant as it gets.
