Its really just the evolution of a species. For about the first two hundred thousand years of our existence, to about 150 years ago, our population was below one billion. Between then and now, it has expanded to about six times that, or six billion. For about 4 1/2 billion years, the earth has remained the same size, about 25,000 miles around, with water covering about 75%. Who has what right now is still being determined as we speak. One thing for sure though, we are like moss growing on a rock, and the rock is more covered then un covered.
The hardest part of doing nothing is knowing when your done.
