I agree its a mental thing. But let's just stop pretending that a soccer player, even from the toughest ghetto ever, isn't gonna freak out when he has a jacked-up monster slam into him at the speed of intown driving, on purpose, within the rules. I mean it's just a joke to think that getting tripped up and made to run laps is gonna prepare you for getting utterly creamed and then having to get up and continue, only to get utterly creamed over and over again, as a matter of course.
They just aren't the same thing, and it takes quite a bit of practice to not be a kitty in hockey, or any other real contact sport, like football or rugby. Go ahead, put your body in front of that frozen piece of rubber travelling at 100mph. Yeah it might hit you in the stomach and literally split you open, but surely being pushed around by your soccer coach prepped you for that, right?
My PCF dream was to get high with Non in Hunter S. Thompson's compound in Aspen. Now it is to get Saz on skates and just destroy his naivety through demonstration.
