I fail to see how further intervention in the ME or Cental Asia benefits the US outside of ensuring the global supply of oil continues to expand to meet demand and maintain price stability. Large scale incursions would definitely be a net negative in these regions at this point with regards to either price stability or nation building.
What was Iraq about to you com? You keep asserting that our foreign policy is developed with US interests in mind first and our inability to see these obvious truths is our fault so I'm asking: What's our focus in the ME been? And then, who is anybody to tell another person whether their son or daughters life was for that? Perhaps they feel paying more for gas is preferable to that?
These all sound like they're predicated on value judgments that clearly aren't absolute.
