Question: how much faster than light would you have to be in order to make deep space travel feasible? I mean, light itself can take billions of years to reach Earth.

Enrico Fermi posed this very question- if aliens do exist then where are they?
I doubt the US gubmint with all its power cannot hold back information that aliens truly exist.
I personally believe there is life on other planets but the distances involved mean that they cannot reach us (and vice versa) or that they have purposely chosen to avoid us (Prime Directive?).
