Have y'all ever worked 12 hr shifts? Have any of y'all worked 12 hr rotating shifts? I have and I was far more dangerous driving home, through active school zones, after my second graveyard shift than I ever was after a couple of beers over an hour and a half. BTW, I'm 5'2" and 140 lbs so a beer or two could pretty easily put me "over the limit." I have pics of the X's wrecked Blazer from his little "sleepy" incident on the way home from work after they switched to rotating 12s. Rolled the f**k and literally woke up in the hospital. Seriously, the accident didn't wake him up. I also know the joys of driving with the shift workers on the way home from my last job.The final 30 miles from the power plant and mines SUCKED SUPER DICK. They are nucking futs. But, companies are allowed to put their workers on those shifts without providing transportation.
I think the cops should have a reason to pull you over. Your erratic driving can easily be caught on tape. Used to be that's how it worked. The cops had to show they had a reason to pull you over before the BAC could be admitted into evidence. Not anymore. They don't even need a reason. They sit right outside of the bars now pulling everyone they can over. It's not "community safety" or even actually protecting the public from actual shit drivers. It's just become a f**k fishing expedition to fill the coffers.
I have also driven in Salt Lake City and I can tell you this much, if I can't drive after a beer or allergy meds and I can't change the music on my MP3/Ipod/phone/whatever even though I am still maintaining my own lane, then I wanna know what in the hell all those Mormon Mommies with their 5 kids in the vehicle, swerving all over the damned place while bitching at Little Timmy to quit messing with Sister Sally are doing out on the roads. Them bitches is some shitty drivers.
