As Philly pointed out earlier, the nuclear option in WW2 was purposely to hasten the end of the war. I never said in this thread that I did NOT support the nuclear option back then. IMO it was the right call and I agree with you on the reasons for why the decision was made. However, to argue that nukes were proportional to anything else during WW2 is ridiculous. Their entire purpose of existence was to scare the shit out of Japan via a display of American superiority. It wiped 2 cities off the map and people in those regions still suffer from PTSD (for survivors) and long term effects of radiation. You threw carpet bombing under the bus earlier because you saw it as disproportional, but nuking cities is fine? Dylan can be a cheerleader for you all he wants, your argument is seriously flawed.
