Are animals capable of enumerating those rights? Capable of creating the tools to do so? Capable of building a structure to house them in?
Rights exist because we can do those things and the fact that we can is proof of something beyond or something longer enduring than our own existence.
Be it nature, which is my personal preference, God or however you wish to identify or call it.

It has everything to do with this discussion.
You claim natural rights do not exist, legal rights do. But simultaneously claim that rights don't exist at all.
Then you claim that some animals do the same things humans do.
Where's that animal designed and built stadium? where's those ancient viaducts and roads? where's their computers? Where's their wheels? Where's their well documented history?
Where's their inventions? Where's their written and recorded language? Where's anything beyond living and breathing and dying and a pile of bones in a particular spot?
Putting a stick in an anthill is not technology, it's a stick in a hole.
