True, in that we allow it and it's right in front of our faces.

I do hold responsible, though, those who willingly go along with things like Citizens v. United because that's what their herd tells them to do. It's always fun to start handing that kind of power over when it's your guys--not so fun when you realize that you've handed it to people you don't like, either.

The real culprit here is the media. I believe its decline is completely related to how the political process has just gone to seed.

Honestly though Indy you're jumping from bogeyman to bogeyman here because you're avoiding fact that when you really take a good hard look at our system, there's nothing stopping us from taking things into our own hands and electing very different kinds of leaders, but it would require a MODERATE amount of attentiveness from he public and that will never happen. So instead you blame special interests for supporting their candidates and the media for not holding everyone's hands through the election.

Same faces in the races. The ones that caused the problems are likely not the ones to fix the problems. But we do like to hear the silver tongue blowers of smoke, don't we,lol.
