Why is simple acknowledgement of acquiescence to the reality of the species decadence? Its actually pragmatic. To exert a huge amount of energy trying to force human behavior into some centuries old puritan mold that it never fit into to begin with strikes me as quite a lot more decadent than a practical solution to an old grievance.

Bit of a slippery slope as well, since of course there are whole spectrums of social development that our properly virtuous ancestors would have a stroke over today.

Opposition to basic humans rights has always been an immoral affectation. The more we strike down this sort of immorality, the less decadent we become, to my thinking.

So really, free speech, for the left, is only about their free speech.

If someone talks about the history of homosexuality, that's taboo.

decadent - adj - "characterized by or reflecting a state of moral or cultural decline."
decadent - noun - "a person who is luxuriously self-indulgent."

we're talking about the adjective, not the noun. "are we decadents?" is a different question than "are we decadent?"
