It's pretty to difficult to argue that Comey's decision to break with longstanding protocol did not sway the election IMO. I also think 20+ years of largely fabricated scandals played a big role. But, what can you do, that's politics.
Hopefully Dems are a bit more mature as the minority party than Republicans have been in recent years. I bet Senate Dems regret their decision on filibusters now

I've seen a lot of liberal commentators urging Democrats not to work with Trump on anything, even if it's a desirable policy, because doing so would "normalize" him.
I don't think they understand that this election was a rejection of normal. In fact, I believe Clinton would have had a better chance of winning had she run against him more like she would a "normal" Republican. All the focusing on his personal failings and not the fact that the material effect of his policies will be horrible for poors and working class only benefited him.
