Why not? He was a good POTUS and his demeanor was perfect for the country during these turbulent times. Calm, controlled and methodical. He made mistakes of course, especially with foreign policy. But he was good and I think most Americans recognized that.
I know you're unwilling to recognize any of his accomplishments (a common problem for blind partisans) but that's really a personal problem.
