The gov't wasn't any cause. It's effect was negligible. Outside of what CC states, deregulation.

And guess who were the biggest proponents of deregulation (now that DID have everything to do with this) and de-balling gov't agencies that would watchdog this sort of thing?
Yup, the GOP.
You gotta love the balls: blame the gov't which you neutered so they couldn't do anything anyway. Talk about having it both ways.
