Link 1: Even though wage inequality has become less significant for younger women, the gender pay gap still exists and reportedly becomes wider with age. On average, women still get paid just 77 cents for every dollar a man earns doing the same work.
Link 2: feminists are not calling it quits just yet. Women may be outearning men at the beginning of their careers--but that story flips higher up the professional food chain. Some research has shown that there is an 40 percent pay gap between women and men with business school degrees, 10 years out from graduate school. In the end, on average, women still only make 81 cents to the dollar.
The studies I posted were also more scientific and focused on comparing like situations to see if a wage gap existed among similarly placed men and women. This is much more useful.
