senate isn't undemocratic right now. it should be but it sadly isn't.

if one congressman represented 10 people in a given state and his fellow congressman represented 10 million, that's still democratic. "one person one vote" is utter horseshit and the states should be able to decide how to render their districts

the senate shouldn't be democratic but more of a check on democracy since they would be indirectly elected (elected through elected officials).

The 38 million people in California elect 2 senators while the 34 million people in the 21 smallest states elect 42 senators. It's undemocratic by design and choosing senators by popular vote within the state doesn't change that.

The basic premise of democracy is rule of the majority. When 34 million people get 21 times more representation that 38 million people, that's not rule of the majority.

I'd say that your understanding of democracy is pretty simpleminded and obsolete. The Constitution itself must be undemocratic because it removes a large number of powers from the legislature. Any and all checks against majority power would also be considered undemocratic.

Of course in the world of social sciences, we've stopped using democracy in that specific way. Usually democracies refers to constitution-based democratic republics or constitution-based social democracies.
