The party is consolidating... Cantor didn't help Jeb in any way... just diluted the brand... The way the Republicans win is globalists vs tea partiers (puppets backed by corporations)... the morons will yell and scream and not get any votes... the globalists will hang back and collect money... and we'll have bush v clinton in 2016.

I don't see Jeb running in 2016.. Just his stance on immigration is completely out of step with the fanatics running the GOP right now.. I don't think he wants the stink of Cruz or Palin or the talk show crowd on him... He saw what they did to Romney, and what Romney turned into to try and please to fanatics.. I don't see Jeb, or Christie putting themselves through that. It would destroy their political careers.

They can both wait until 2020 and see if the GOP has straightened itself out, or completely imploded.
