Also, BOTH my kids (age 6, 1st grade) are currently reading at a 4th grade level. They will actually put down an iPad and grab a book. I have to tell my son to stop reading and eat, get dressed, etc. I never thought I'd have to say, "Son, if you don't put down that book, you're going to be in trouble."

i started walking to school when i was 10 or 11. can confirm, was murderraped hundreds of times.

Just because there is some sort of crime in an area does not necessarily make it a good or bad area. I grew up in a bit tougher area of Kansas City and walked home from school. Never kidnapped. Someone offered to sell me cocaine, but not kidnapped.
