saz, mass murderers aren't statistically relevant when talking about how we can decrease the murder rate. they are so rare and decreasing in frequency (relative to population... they stay about the same amount per year, and have since we've had data on them) i don't see what the point is. why aren't we doing more to stop floods or tornados or hurricanes or rip currents or lightning strikes? these are more likely to kill you or your child from some adam lanza in a kindegarten.

Basically the point is, had Sandy Hook not happened (or something similar) than we wouldn't even be having this discussion because it's not a big deal until white kids die.
Tackle the real problems. 20 kids is nothing compared to thousands of other people who are being shot and killed. Fix their problems first.
