I'm going to sustain my eye roll @ DPRK until they actually start shooting. Their whole regime is propped up against keeping everyone on high alert to fight a war that went cold half a century ago. They have to rattle sabers or people will start asking the wrong questions.

North Korea just wants the US to bomb them because the glowing flashes means they're moving forward to join the countries with light.

NK is a bunch of pussies. If you're so tough and can do so much, start shooting, assholes. Why just walk around flapping ya gums, put some meat behind those words.
Oh that's right, you know that the moment you shoot a single mortar into SK that your country will cease to exist in 72 hours.

The climate now is far different. NK has had multiple nuclear tests since this occurred. I'm sure the south didn't respond for a reason, but what happened 3 years ago doesn't effect what happens now. Things change by the day on that peninsula. You would have to look at the political climate at the time it occurred to make sense of what happened that day.
But with tensions high in the region as of late, I would venture to guess the same attack would garner a military response.
