Let me put it another way: why aren't journalists in this guy's face when he says shit like that? Why don't they pounce?

Reese Witherspoon gets arrested for drunk & disorderly and it's the lead item on every network show Monday morning.

This guy is running the country when 3,000 Americans get murdered, and not only that he attempts to thwart any independent investigation of it, and he's out giving speeches?

Then he dupes us into Iraq where he gets another 4,000+ Americans killed for alleged WMD that were bullshit to begin with and sinking us into that quagmire for almost a decade and people are paying to see him.

Amazing.

I think Cheney was the making the point that especially on the 9/11 anniversary extra precautions were made for security and he was trying to make political hay in asking why Obama's administration didn't do the same before and during Benghazi on the night of Sept. 11th. He has a point. Stevens was left out to dry and now Obama has a scandal on his hands. Some underling will take the fall and the media will give the House of Obama a semi-free pass. Right now the Obama brain trust is digging up dirt on the whistle blowers to discredit them and their version of events that night in Benghazi.

Cheney lives in an alternate universe where he's is always the smartest, most knowledgeable guy in the room.

That universe is contained snuggly within his expansive ego. It's an ever expanding universe.

Why are we debating things that Cheney says?

Because they made the news today?

Because there are people who still support him?

Because I'm asking why no journalist will call him out on his b.s. when he is probably the most discredited U.S. president ever?

You'd think these people would skulk off into the cave that they crawled out of but nope, here he is, and then you see things like John Bolton--another Cheney fave--speaking at this week's NRA convention. Another guy with mad credibility.

Clearly there's an audience for these proven liars. My question: who is it?

I never understood why the media keeps giving this guy respect as a foreign policy expert.

Mike Brown doesn't get interviewed on disaster relief because everyone knows he was a massive failure, so why does Dick Cheney get interviewed on foreign policy where he was a massive failure ?
