Is it in Karzai's interest for Pakistan and India to have good relations?

Yes. It potentially means a recovering Pakistani economy, continuous pressure on militant elements along the afghan/Pakistani border, and a decrease in regional hostilities. This especially holds true if Karzai wishes to maintain control of provinces outside of Kabul's reach and very possibly Kabul itself.

Karzai is like something out of a movie when it comes to caricatures of money-grubbing, totally corrupt foreign leaders.

When's he not openly pocketing money from Iran while at the same time enjoying the luxury of our no-accounting-spending for the "war on terror," he does shit like this.

Ugh. Why did we ever go and stay there. Who the hell thought we could nation-build that moonscape?

Karzai is doing his best to survive. So far he is alive, thats what matters to him.
