The US government as it currently stands is unfit to rule the US, much less anything else.

If our methods of social safety nets, welfare, healthcare, etc were applied on a global scale, the world economy would burn to the ground pretty much overnight.

It would be worse. I figure it 2 different ways

1. Foreigners can vote and they f**k everything up.
2. Foreigners can't vote and we just suck resources and wealth out of the rest of the world (why not, if we have that type of power why the f**k would we better the rest of the world instead of sucking it dry)

This isn't a logical question.

One world government implies that the world population has become almost completely post-sovereign, which is the only way there would be a discernable value to American world influence.

Subsequently, if the world population was largely post-sovereign, American influence as it exists today, would not exist, because a large part of American culture is based on the fact that we are stridently different from all other dominant nations because of how we began.

Essentially, one world rule = the endgame of American culture as it is currently developing anyways. So all you're basically asking is what will it be like when the last vestiges of tribalism are gone.
