It's the hawks in both parties who can't handle dissent. He stabbed their backs (and rightly so) and exposed their morally bankrupt operations. It's the John McCains and Lindsy Grahms of the world who literally can't handle unruly citizens who give a damn about their rights.

Don't know the proper term, but "improper dissemination of classified material" would be the charges. Same as that Bradley guy.

For me personally, it depends on what he leaks. He outed the NSA wiretapping program since it was far more expansive then the American public was being led to believe. That's something I actually support. However, I do have little support for Manning since he leaked info that did hurt actual people, including outing undercover Afghanis working alongside US forces and giving away troop positions, movements, etc. That I'll never support.

We don't want/like our own scumbags exposed, he exposed them.
