You know more than I do of course, but does it actually prevent people from more serious time in the criminal system vs the current system?

How insane that we've let this go on in this country for so long. I don't think there's a person here who doesn't know somebody or have a family member that's been touched by drugs, either just social use or abuse.
So why we criminalized it and turned it into a "war" was just stoooooopid. Remember brilliant ideas like "Just say no"? Just say: d'oh!
Although nothing I'm going to say wasn't already said more eloquently in the movie Traffic. And that was 13 years ago.

Hmmm - they say "elderly, non-violent" offenders. So, does this include the Wall Street types that are in jail for defrauding American people out of trillions? Are they just going to walk now?
