Obama calls off Congress vote

US President Barack Obama has postponed a Congress vote on military action in Syria, vowing to pursue diplomacy to remove the regime's chemical weapons
Damascus has admitted for the first time that it has chemical weapons, and has agreed to abide by a Russian plan to hand over its arsenal.

Is it a real settlement of the current issue? I hardly ever believe that Obama (Captain America) will play on someone else's rules... Now the US takes a brake in order to build more solid platform for the military invasion, doesn't it?

First time I can ever remember a President making a speech saying that he's not doing anything.

What was the point of this speech? "News Flash - the President announces that he is going to do exactly what the American people want him to do!" Is that really newsworthy? Isn't that what is SUPPOSED to happen?
