Painful numbers.

I hope they all bend over and take painful numbers next November.

You are dreaming if you think people will be able to remember this far back by next November. There will be 50 sensationalized scandals between now and then. This issue will have about as much impact as the NDAA or whistle blower persecution, which is to say none at all.

NSA spying is already forgotten.

It all depends on how long the GOP continue this shutdown, and how they end it. But if it drags on, or ends badly, the voters will definitely remember when the 2014 midterms come around. Of course they still have the advantages of gerrymandered districts and a lower voter turnout in midterms, so I doubt they will lose the house.

Fox and the talking heads are trying to score PR points for the GOP yesterday and today by saying Obama knew long before hand that because of the shut-down death benefits wouldn't be paid to soldiers who died but he didn't care. So that's why he didn't sign a bill restoring those benefits until yesterday.

The shut-down itself isn't the blame..Oh no.. Only Obama is to blame!

How anyone can get their news from those clowns on Fox just amazes me.

It's all part of the plan. Once they reach 0% approval, they'll be able to drag Obama's approval rating down without losing any support. Genius!

I think Wormwood is right, unfortunately people will forget this months from now, unless they really do crash the economy and send us into depression. Then I hope they are hunted in the streets by pitchfork-wielding mobs.

That said, people have to understand, these TP freaks don't give a toss what the general pop thinks. They're on a mission from God, accountable only to themselves, and once you've provided yourself that out--that no matter what people think you're on the righteous path because God says so--you can forget reasoning with these people.
