she makes some good points very crudely. i really question if she's reaching these kids or just making them think "lol what a bitch". and while i'm not dismissing racism, she puts it on a pedestal as if we're playing oppression olympics. she makes a point, albeit very round-a-bout and crudely, about privilege yet she acts like privilege works in a brown aint down, but white is a'ight when privilege is a multifaceted issue.

and also this "fighting a battle every day" bullshit when some of those kids are obviously white-passing latinos and latinas. i think her opinions on race are stuck in the 60s and 70s.

most of what i've gotten out of these videos is that there are way more people with blue eyes than i've realized.

the video itself is, but couching it like "well, america NEEDS this because it's just some war zone of racism and strife" vs britain's "multiculturalism"

it's a very disingenuous (and very british) way of going about things. using a polite euphemism for what is essentially the same situation, or a possibly worse one.

These sort of videos are little more than the milk of charlatans. I really don't see the need to play social experiments with children or develop gotcha television to send the word that OMG people can be racist at times when everyone, racists included, already agrees on that point. You people are fighting yesterday's battles.
