Abortion is always a controversial subject but any country that jeopardizes the life of a woman, over an unborn baby, due to stringent moral law is crazy.

Some stuff just can't be treated as black and white. Laws aimed at curtailing a certain kind of behavior in an absolute sense will have negative consequences. I was never a fan of abortion debates for this very reason, it's all too open to the circumstances at the time. It requires an ungodly amount of micromanagement which is hardly feasible in our judicial system (It can't handle what we've got going now...).
Just a late night thought.

It's very simple, really. Only born human beings should have rights. If the pregnant woman decides to risk her life so that her future child may live, then that's fine.

I did say "should" and that's because I agree with the rule. Two entities occupying the same body cannot have equal rights. That means if women want to have children, they must suspend many of their rights when they are pregnant and give them to her potential child.
Most women are happy to do that, as long as they can choose when they do it and which rights they suspend. The problems begin when she's not given a choice and has her rights taken from her.
That's the bottom line of all laws that restrict abortion. Stripped of all the ribbons and bows, all laws that claim to protect life take away the rights of women to be autonomous, individual people with a mind of their own.
