Another wonderful illustration that there is no such thing as a 'patriarchy' and that gender roles are much more complex than the feminist stronghold ideology. Not only do males under 30 experience higher rates of [insert unemployment, suicide, violence, drop-out rates, etc], but young girls and boys are both pressured into believing girls are smarter than boys at a young age. I wonder if this affects children in custody battles?
http://www.theguardian.com/education/20 ... gender-gapMade even better by feminists saying crazy things like it doesn't compare to an engineering department only having one female professor, women ARE smarter (and this isn't sexist because it favors women), etc!

that would explain why they're so mad at the Patriarchy.

the comments are the best
"lol male tears" and other stupid shit.
if there is such a large part of a movement that is completely toxic, your entire movement is spoiled. and this brings me back to my thread about the issue. feminism is obsolete as it doesn't take into consideration the effects of gender roles on boys, it merely empowers girls at the expense of boys.

if you think about it, feminism is the perfect conservative movement. it has barely evolved from the second-wave and while other progressive movements focus on things like gender roles, feminism is firmly entrenching them, and continues to blame the patriarchy for problems that men face.

that's because many forms of feminism in many other parts of the world are still what we'd consider first-wave.
most of the west has no need for the feminism of saudi arabia or uganda.
that said, i'm still going to call western feminism, feminism. that's what it is.

Feminism is a discriminatory movement that is akin to racism and should be discredited as such.

feminism makes as much sense as phrenology now. it is literally one half of the equation, and as we're seeing in the west, is detrimental to the other half.
it has no merit. any of its remaining points can be addressed by other ideologies and ideas that are gaining momentum.
if it's necessary for women in other countries, that's fine, but it's obsolete here.
