The GOP did it just because they oppose everything Obama does, not because of anything else.
The Dems that voted him down (besides Reid who did it for procedural reasons) did it because they're vulnerable Dems in red state.
The Dems that voted him down (besides Reid) should be ashamed of themselves. I don't understand how they think this would even matter in an election. Like anyone knows his f**k name.
Sadly, it only needed one more Dem to flip. Reid would have voted yes and Biden was in chamber to give the deciding vote (they had 49 when you include Reid). It's a great example of how f**k broken out politics are.

Read an article on this a little while ago. Pretty ridiculous.
It's especially funny because conservatives hero worship the founders. I wonder how they would feel if they knew Alexander Hamilton's trial history?
