Obama's 2015 budget will cap public service loan forgiveness at 57,000:
http://www.edcentral.org/obama-administ ... repayment/thousands of eager young trial lawyers are diligently working away in public service in the hopes that one day their loans will be forgiven. this betrays them.
prepare you anus america, thousands of financially desperate young trial lawyers may be unleashed upon you....you're all gonna get sued.

But now all the lawyers who were in or considering public service will want to go that route instead, and it's already a way over saturated field. I'm worried about your future eynon.

Yup, just as I said before. No one is going to do public interest work now. It's simply not viable. This is why you need to read the MPNs closely, the government left itself a loophole in the loan terms which effectively allowed them to eliminate PSLF. You can't sue anyone and there isn't a damn thing you could do.
Noobs, take note. Next time you want to save the world or do good, make sure you get rich first. Because you can do all the good you want in the world, that shit won't pay sallie mae. Sorry to all the good people who got absolutely destroyed by this bullshit budget proposal. I suggest you sign the petition and email every democrat in 1000 miles about your plans to switch to the republican party if this language appears anywhere else.

public service is still probably the best place to get your start (and gain xp), but once you level up enough it seems wise to move on.
