The concept of monarchy is utterly chauvinistic. The concept hinges on the idea that a particular genetic heritage makes one normal human superior to another human of a differing genetic heritage, and thus fit to command them.
It's total bullshit and I agree that all remnants of that insult to common decency be eradicated. If he wants that position he should denounce his "royal" status and the entire social order built on on the concept, as well.
The concept of a "king", "royalty", "nobility" or any similar nonsense is offensive in the extreme to modern sensibilities.
