Of course your country is far worse off economically now, your health care sucks, your school system sucks, your political system sucks, etc. These are issues that Canadians care about. So the support would be non-existent.

But since you're talking about invading, I suppose that support wouldn't matter. In that case, bring it on. We'll make Vietnam or Iraq look like the liberation of Amsterdam.

Wait. f**k that. I'd be down with existing Cascadia planning, but to be annexed into Canada? Hell no. I've married into that place and spent far to much time in and amongst it/them to want to live there. Entire spectrum of reasons. Fun to visit, definitely don't want to live there. Its a possibility in old age I suppose, depending on which side of the border happens to be cheaper and have lower taxes by then. By then I'll probably care less. As long as I'm allowed the retain my private healthcare and not have to deal with theirs, and its an easy border crossing back Stateside, I'm happy. At least in BC the climate is largely the same.

Only way to rationally invade the place is to sterilize it. Kill all the Canadians, then you can move in and start stripping resources without having to put up with them. No boots on the ground until there is a 3 month period without signs of human activity.
