As we've seen just since 2008, we're definitely a country that just defines people by the "content of their character."

I disagree man. Unfortunately Thomas probably understand this whole issue the best, and look where he came out. Soto opinion isn't persuasive at all.

Makes more sense for colleges to give students preference based on family income rather than race. Class status is infinitely more important than race in today's world.

Does the ban prohibit schools from admitting students based on race, or simply remove the requirement to admit based on race for public schools?

I never liked affirmative action, mainly because it comes far too late. The focus should be on equality at the primary school level, not the college level. If kids got started on an equal footing, there would be no need to use affirmative action later on.
