Vote for Romney?

In this upcoming Presidential election, what would be a better decision at the ballot box. Voting for someone who you agree with more, or voting for someone who can get more things done? This question extends from the debate people commonly have of voting for a third party candidate who would never win or voting for someone from one of the two major parties.

The new question is, out of the two parties, do you vote for the one you like more or the one who can get more things done? Our political system is at an impasse right now, and Obama is having a hard time getting policies pass Congress without fully diluting his original policy. This is because Congress is Republican controlled. If Obama gets re-elected, even though I like his policies more, we're going to have four more years of this. But if Romney gets elected, even though I like his policies less, I like them more than a continued impasse. Romney being Republican will also be able to rally the Republicans Congresspeople more.

So, for someone like myself who likes Obama's stances more, but believes that Romney can do more, would it make sense for me to just vote for Romney?

1. He's a Mormon, I can't support people who would discriminate against my fellow Americans.

2. Obama is the only one of the two who would spend on national science infrastructure initiatives without unilateral support... a political ingredient that Republicans have never possessed.


In short, there is no possible way Romney would be better than Obama.

Just cause there are more republicans in Congress in no way means Romney can do more. The democrats can do what the republicans did and doing to them and stonewall basically. No if the dems have the balls for this is something else but nerveless they can do this making Romney able to pass no more than Obama has. Either way Obama is the lesser of the two evils and I like that Obama can't pass things left and right. Slowing down Congress in my view is a good thing as it stops haste passing of bills and what have you. I am not saying what the republicans are doing is good either but it never less has some pros that I like.

Seeing as how your one vote isn't going to swing the entire election, I'd say vote for whoever helps you sleep at night.

If you don't like Romney's policies, why would you want him to be able to pass more of them ?
