I think the overwhelming majority of fat people understand that their choices made them fat, even if they make excuses. They also understand that it is unhealthy to be fat. The issue is that most fat people are not going to change. They may know it's their fault, they know it's not OK, but they will probably remain fat until they die. That's just the reality of it.
So, understanding this, why shouldn't they try to promote fat acceptance? And what do you care?

If there's going to be a fat people lobby they should advocate for programs to help them lose weight or that liposuction be added to coverage mandated by the ACA.

Non had an interesting experience at the Doc last week. Allergy + general check up. According to the BMI index I'm borderline obese. BUT the doctor fussed over how good a shape I was in. My blood pressure was a little high but I was coming off a crazy couple months at work so they said it was normal. Heart/Lungs were in really good shape. Doc said they were the heart/lungs of someone in their mid-20s (I'm 33). Closing in on a 34 inch waist again too. (it was all very flattering)
oh well, the troubles of endomorphic hobbit people I guess.

Bmi is stupid. It only takes height and weight into account so if you have some decent muscle mass you're going to be overweight.
