In 2003 Texas fought strenuously for the right to forbid anal sex.
Really says all you need to know about the state. Or its politics at least.

Yeah the Democratic primary should be very interesting. I'm thinking Hillary, if she runs, will lose out again.

The one wild card with Hillary is Bush, Clinton, Bush, and another F'ing Clinton.. I truly believe Americans are tired of both... BUT there really isn't another strong Dem candidate, and with the GOP self destructing? Who else?

From what I heard about this, the law only "allows" this type of therapy on a "voluntary basis". In other words, if the patients wants it, then they can get it. Are you saying that we should tell people that it should be illegal for people to obtain certain therapies if they want it?
Now, not having seen the actual language, and since it's not a "bill" but only a "platform", I'd be against minors getting this therapy, in any case. In other words, parents cannot send a minor, with or without the minor's consent, to such therapy. This is consistent with many other types of treatment or things that a parent may not consent for their child (such as a tattoo).
But, are you saying that a person, over 18 years of age, may not legally receive this type of therapy if they choose to have it?
Not that I think that it's effective, or even beneficial. But, I'm not a huge fan of telling people that they cannot do something to their own body (even if it's their own mind) if they so choose.
