I don't remember that specific passage, and I'm not going to look it up. But, I think it's clear that the intent is that subsidies should apply to the Federally-set-up state exchanges, also.

It is what you'd expect it to be: another attempt to gut the ACA, which has become the white whale of the GOP since Obama came along.
I mean seriously: on the face of it, the ruling is so ridiculous that it lays bare the intentions of those who made it.
It's funny reading the reactions of both sides because the TPM is dancing in the streets and the Dems are pretty much like: dammit, can we just now make it single payer and get it over with?
At this point I'm with the latter. WTF. In the other thread we talked about how we'll spend $40K/year in tax dollars to imprison somebody but we won't provide national healthcare? Absurd.

I like this bc it gives conservatives hope. I like seeing their dreams crushed over and over and over. It's wonderful.

But here's the thing: let's see it succeeds. Now you've just kicked, what 6M people off insurance because they won't be able to afford it without subsidies--then what?
Tough shit? They just want to leave them there?
At this point these people are so obsessed with taking down Obama and anything he has done they don't care about the collateral damage.
Tell me why this isn't a form of nihilism again? Or at the very best, the kind of stalker/killer boyfriend you see on the ID channel, who has decided if he can't have you (you: meaning the country) than nobody's going to?

You know, I'd like to see the GOP win a majority (not supermajority, though) in the Senate and the Presidency. Then, we can see what they really want to do.
Frankly, there's no way that they'll "repeal" PPACA. It's too far implemented now.

In many ways but they're not suggesting taking it back into the shop for an overhaul, they're wanting to take it to the hydraulic crusher and crush it into nothing.
Best part: and replace it with nothing.
That's why for years you've never heard them attempt to AMEND it or modify it or here's our plan with the parts from it that are good ideas--they simply want to give it a late-term abortion.
