It SHOULD end it, but never underestimate the persistence of family values fundies to keep tilting at windmills. Look how long the abortion issue has been flogged and they're even winning that one in places like Texas. When your entire politco-religious belief system is based on pillars of opposing things like this, you can't just remove one.

Good news: good news for the country moving forward.

Bad news: how much time we wasted on something so silly. Gay people are never going away, ever, so to try and keep them in a box like this was just stooooopid.

This was inevitable. I'm glad these folks wanting to get married, can finally move on with their lives.

Note to all the statist, if government would have never involved itself in marriage, gays getting hitched would have never been a issue.

again, dude, my problems with it is appropriating a word that meant something entirely different and declaring by law that it is now this. it's like calling soap chocolate and demanding that everything that once read soap now reads chocolate. we also keep chocolate as is. god help you if you mess that shit up. as a union, whatever, they can do whatever they want, but don't expect me to say a dog has 5 legs just because you called the tail a leg. secondly, and more importantly, i am opposed to marriage as a state institution. haven't we mistreated gays enough to put that curse on them too? you bastards. oh and indy, in the future biological defects will be eliminated through science
