My question Prof isn't do you think Jeb would be a good president, it's: can the Party ever tolerate a moderate again, and move forward? If he runs we're gonna find out.
Romney had to do endless acrobatics to try and tea partyize himself to get through the primaries, which is probably what ruined him (that and his caught-on-tape pandering to plutocrats).
McCain didn't even try and pander to the fundies but as it started to slip away then gifted us all with Sarah Palin in a futile attempt to win that vote.
As I pointed out, those slated for a run in 2016 are winners like Santorum, Carson and I had forgotten: Rick Perry. In other words, not a sign of progress.
However, I do concede that at this point that crowd is so rabidly anti-Dem, anti-Obama and anti-Hillary that they may not even care if Jeb isn't radical enough--they'll get behind him just to get a Republican in the White House.
