Millenials are the generation in which women are on pace with if not outperforming men so we'll see how a lot of this pans out in the coming decades when millennials are in senior positions of power and industry. It's unlikely that we're going to see older women who were at a disadvantage for the first 20 years of their career retroactively catch up with their male contemporaries.

the main 'issue' is that women bear children. they end up taking more vacation and whatnot, which is why they "earn less" than men: they work less. if you account for the differences in employment choices and hours worked, women earn about 95c on the dollar that a man makes, not the much quoted 77c

Yeah I don't know about all the others but the Abrahamic religions are all pretty sexist and want women to be subservient to men.
