What if some whackjob did shoot up a movie theater?
Everyone would be crying about how the cinema chains knew about potential threats, and then they'd be crucified in the media, and sued out of existence.
I can see the point of not wanting to cower down to threats, but you can always count on our kneejerk reactionary public, and the 24/7 media going bat shit crazy.
Some risks aren't worth it, especially over a movie that probably sucks anyway.
