Chuck Todd lacks the gravitas to host a show like MTP anyway. Well at least what MTP used to be.

And lol @ Indy claiming he doesn't watch cable news. As soon as anyone on Fox News says anything the least bit off putting Indy is the first person howling about it.

Also Chuck Todd also was talking to Lewis Black about "barking" at people. If you had an elected official on your news show and you went off on a Lewis Black rant on them, that wouldn't be journalism either, it would be grandstanding to a point that would make Chris Matthews blush and it would be very reasonable for no one to come on your show after that.

So does Bill Maher. He'll have a mixed bag on that show all the time and while he'll definitely rake somebody over the coals, he doesn't do it via screaming through a split-screen with him on the one side and the victim on the other. That show can get heated but doesn't turn into a Hannity shriek-fest.

Either way, Todd just laid bare what we all suspected: there's no "journalism" in these shows, no hard questions, no keeping politicians honest--they're merely talk shows. Amirite?

Bill Maher is a comedian, not a journalist. Comparing him to Chuck Todd is fundamentally flawed thinking.

Yes it did, but Todd literally just admitted it. He's not there for us, to get answers, he's there to cup the balls of those who appear on his show.

So let's cut the pretense, add a house band and have him start with a monologue like his fellow talk show hosts.
