did you know there is no transantlantic trade of oysters? the reason is that americans test the waters of which the oysters are grown for bacteria, while europeans test the oyster themselves. both are fine ways to test the oysters. the TTIP (different than the TTP, but also important) would fix this kind of nonsense. free trade is optimal for society

It's not just that Dharma, it's also the top tax rate being dropped to basically 15% and their income growing exponentially as the middle class' remains stagnant. Add to that the destruction of unions and removal of economic regulation and here we are. Heading into a new Gilded Age.

well, outsourcing just took away any leverage american workers had, so anything benefiting big business could be passed.

now it seems normal to most people that they have to have two low paying part time jobs to barely make it

so yeah, prosperity is never coming back unless free trade is dismantled. neoliberal policies have been an abject failure and are literally causing an existential crisis, both environmentally and economically speaking.
