It's an open secret gun owners are idiots, but you try telling them that. They are armed. I think they are simply less evolved and struggle to fit in with civilized society

Here's my answer: life is inherently full of risks. It is the cost of doing business. If you don't like guns you don't have to buy any, and you won't be subject to an increased chance of having a firearm go off in your house.
An argument based on "you don't need that" is clearly not an argument.
