This stuff didn't happen overnight. They were buying up units to get to the 80% ownership. READ what you sign. I don't know real estate law, so I pay someone who does when I make a real estate purchase. Your home is going to be your most expensive purchase, isn't it worth a couple hundred dollars to protect yourself? I opted not to purchase a property because the covenants were so severe that my attorney said it was a really bad idea to give an HOA that much power.
