how has this guy's chronic lying -- about being shot at in helicopters multiple times, rescuing a puppy from a burning building, seeing bodies floating down the street in the french quarter -- which didn't flood -- and was the only "known" case of dysentery during katrina -- and other complete fabrications to make himself more important than he is not been noticed until now?

i feel like this is the last of the venerated news anchor positions. this whole thing just shows how completely irrelevant the evening news is anymore. this guy is a pathological liar and allowed to continue for years doing this shit. not until a veteran called him out on his bullshit saying he wasn't in the chopper that got hit by an rpg did anyone even question it.

The evening news is full of people delivering news that they themselves did nothing to acquire. There was no investigative body that then transferred it up the chain to this man or woman, it was simply delivered after another news agency got its hands on it.

The evening news nowadays is worth about as much as reality television. It typically is neither "balanced" nor substantive. Venerable outlets exist (Frontline, PBS Newshour, etc) but most have gone to shit.

TBF it's likely parts of the French Quarter did flood but this guy is 100% full of shit. Busted bro.
