http://nypost.com/2015/02/10/grand-jury ... ai-gurley/It's pretty crazy that in the very same city where no charges were filed for the killing of Eric Garner, a few miles away the situation is totally different because Brooklyn's DA didn't want to shield this guy while the Staten Island DA would clearly never let a cop go to trial.

He was officially charged with manslaughter today

Brooklyn DA didn't want to deal with a backlash from not indicting the guy. He would not be indicted if it wasn't so close to the Garner case.

Democratic control over the judicial system is f**k no matter how you look at it. Elected judges, elected prosecutors, elected sheriffs? What the hell is that.
