I don't even know what to say here.

The irony here being is that the GOP are basically, creating democrats. People who take AP classes go to college, make their own money, pay their taxes. By getting rid of all AP classes you create a workforce who is not prepared for the world in the global economy then you scream for handouts.

So these guys are envisioning a more North Korea-like education system?

Brilliant.

Misleading title. They are looking TO ban AP History. It hasn't happened yet.

The claim is that the course only points out the failings in America's history and doesn't teach any of the exceptional things the US has done. I haven't seen feedback about the material but I'm going to assume that there is a lot of focus on slavery and civil rights and that is what the hubub is about.

I crushed APUSH, maybe my favorite class in high school. And of course it's all important, it plays a role in understanding the characters and situations that made this country what it is today.

I loved my AP American and Euro history classes. Teacher was awesome.......and a Republican.
